My Perfect Winter Day
Ski slopes braved with red faces and frozen toes.
Colorful pajamas worn moments after being unwrapped.
Blankets strewn around the fireplace.
“A Christmas Story” reliably on.
Lazy long supper to warm the bones and replenish strength
For the next day’s adventures.
Snowboards, Skis, Skates and Snowmobiles just waiting
To glide through the fresh snow giving the rider a thrill
WHO KNEW? 
North Carolina has the highest ski slopes east of the Rockies– maybe you could teach me howto ski? I’m already quite good at building fires.
